The wedding car is important because it is how the bride and her father will arrive at the ceremony and what all the guests will see when the newly married couple departs. While wedding limos are the popular choice, there are other modes of transportation.

Wedding Car Rental

  • Classic cars always add a dramatic flair. The 1928 Rolls Royce Roadster is a favorite choice or the 1934 Ford Deluxe, mostly likely available from an exotic or luxury car rental company.
  • The British car the Triumph TR3 is rare, but a very stylish car to arrive in. It is only a two-seater so the father of the bride would have to drive her to the church, and the groom would have to drive them away.

Other Types of Wedding Transport

  • If the ceremony is near water have the bride arrive in a canoe or gondola. Decorate with a bridal umbrella and line the perimeter of the canoe with garlands of flowers.
  • Rent a double decker bus for the bride, groom and wedding party. The bride and groom could be on the top waving to all of the guests as they depart.
  • Have the bride and groom leave together on a Harley Davidson motorcycle, or a motorcycle and sidecar, followed by the rest of the wedding party paired together on Harleys.
  • A horse drawn carriage would be ideal for a winter wedding.
  • A hot air balloon could take the couple away at an outdoor wedding. This is not as expensive as it may sound, probably about $300 to $400. Arrange to have it waiting to make a dramatic exit. Have a camera to get the perspective looking down at guests.
  • A dune buggy is a great vehicle to arrive in for a beach wedding.
