Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom hosts the annual Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP), which takes place on select evenings in September and October. MNSSHP is a hard-ticket event, meaning it requires a separate ticket and not included with regular theme-park admission. On MNSSHP nights, the park closes early for the party and remains open only to ticket holders

The family-friendly MNSSHP focuses on fun over frights. The evenings include a variety of special parades and shows, trick-or-treat opportunities around the Magic Kingdom, and dance parties in addition to most of the park’s regular rides and attractions being open.

Guests of all ages – especially children ­– are invited to wear Halloween costumes. MNSSHP is the only opportunity for the entire family to dress up in costumes at the Disney park – adults are normally prevented from wearing costumes in the park, so as to not confuse children. The event also includes trick-or-treat opportunities.
